Iran short film ‘Are You Volleyball?!’ to be screened at 7th Children’s Right Int’l filmfest in Turkey

Iran short film ‘Are You Volleyball?!’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 7th edition of Children’s Right International Film Festival in Turkey.

The flick is to represent Iran at the Turkish film event.

Directed by Mohammad Bakhshi, The film features a group of Arabian-spoken asylum seekers who arrive in an English spoken country border and can’t keep going. They conflict with border soldiers every day till a deaf-mute baby becomes a catalyst for better communication between two groups.

The film had earlier won a Guirlande of Honor award in the movies category at the 35th Sport Movies & TV Festival in Milan, Italy.

‘Are You Volleyball?!’ has recently received Best Film Prize  from Al-Nahj Film Festival  organized by a Karbala satellite TV station in Iraq.

The 7th edition of Children’s Right International Film Festival is slated for 4-10 May, 2018. The Festival is currently underway.
